What are the delivery charges for orders from the Online Shop?
The flat rate shipping fee is currently $6.50, however orders totaling more than $50 ship for free.
Which payment methods are accepted in the Online Shop?
All major credit cards are currently accepted. Maria’s Foods only supports credit/debit cards at the moment.
How long will delivery take?
Delivery typically takes 5 – 7 business days.
How secure is shopping in the Online Shop? Is my data protected?
This website uses SSL encryption to protect any confidential information you provide while placing an order (ie. credit cards, passwords etc.). No credit card numbers are stored locally by Maria’s Foods. Our third party payment processors take care of that.
Do I receive an invoice for my order?
After your order is placed a receipt will be emailed to the email address you provided while placing your order.
How spicy is Maria's Ghana Shito?
Maria’s Ghana Shito comes with three heat levels — Mild, Medium and Hot. Our Mild sauce is about 2 or 3 times more spicy than your average tobasco sauce. The Medium sauce is about 5 times more spicy than our Mild sauce, and our Hot sauce is about 8 times more spicy than our medium sauce. If you are not used to eating spicy foods, it is recommended you start with the Mild sauce and work your way up.
Do you deliver outside the United States?
Due to food laws, we do not currently deliver outside the US. Any orders placed for delivery outside the US will be refunded. This is subject to change however. Stay tuned!
I made a mistake with my order -- how do I fix it?
You can email us about any changes you wish to make to your order. We respond to most questions we receive via email within a few hours of receiving them.
Does Maria's Shito leak when mailed?
Maria’s Ghana Shito is well sealed, with a screw cap designed to prevent leakage. Leakages should not occur in 99.9% of cases. If you experience really bad leakage when your bottle arrives, contact us with a picture for a replacement or refund.
I'm having problems squeezing Shito out of the bottle, what do I do?
Having you enjoy the convenience of squeezing Maria’s Ghana Shito out of the bottle is a big part of our product profile. If for any reason you can’t squeeze the Shito out of the bottle you can contact us for a replacement bottle or unscrew the cap of the bottle to squeeze the Shito out that way.
Will you send a tracking number once my order has shipped?
Yes, you should receive a tracking number via email when your order ships.
